• No payment; must not replace adults

Working as an Artist

• Audio-visual, TV & cultural work permitted
• Max 5 hrs/day; 3 hrs without rest
• Parental consent & producer undertaking
• 20% earnings in child’s fixed deposit
• Education continuity ensured

School Absenteeism Reporting

If a child is absent for 30 days without intimation, the Principal must report to the nodal officer.

Employer Responsibilities

• Maintain registers of adolescent workers
• Obtain age certificate if in doubt
• Bear medical age verification costs

Rehabilitation Fund

• Dedicated Child & Adolescent Labour Rehabilitation Fund
• Rescued children receive funds (with interest) at 18 years
• Funded via fines, court orders & donations

Enforcement & Governance

• Inspectors: periodic checks in hazardous sectors; quarterly reporting; follow UT & Central norms
• District Magistrate: heads Task Force; authorizes age certificates & compounding; leads awareness

Penalties & Compounding

• First-time offenders/parents may seek compounding with reduced penalties
• Non-compounded cases proceed to full legal action

Public Awareness Campaigns

• TV, radio, print & internet outreach
• Posters/info at stations, malls, bus stands, police stations
• Inclusion in school curricula & training academies
