WHEREAS, the Governor of Tamil Nadu is of the opinion that minimum rates of wages should be fixed under the Minimum Wages Act, 1948 (Central Act XI of 1948), in respect of the employment in Sanitary Napkins, Medical Quauze Items, and Clothes for the medical field;

Revision of minimum rates of wages for Employment in Salt Pans under the Act [G.O. (D) No. 243, Labour Welfare and Skill Development (J1), 27th May 2022, ¬õè£C 13, ²ðA¼¶, F¼õœÀõ˜ ݇´-2053.] No.II(2)/LWSD/459/2022.—The following draft Notification, which is proposed to be issued in exercise of the powers conferred by clause (b) of sub-section (1) of Section 3 and sub-section (2) of Section 5 of the Minimum Wages Act, 1948 (Central Act XI of 1948), is hereby published for the information of all persons likely to be affected thereby, as required by clause (b) of sub-section (1) of Section 5 of the said Act.
