A significant step to strengthen social security and simplify compliance — ESIC launches SPREE-2025 to expand coverage and reduce litigation.
This scheme aims to bring more workers under social security while providing industries relief from litigation.
Karma Global appreciates ESIC’s initiative. Many MSMEs previously felt discouraged by penalties and litigation, which dissuaded timely registration and inadvertently deprived employees and dependents of medical assistance and sickness benefits.
SPREE-2025 can nurture stronger relationships between small and contractual sector employers and the ESI organisation by improving access to essential health and social protection.
We remain committed to outreach and support in PF, ESI, PT & LWF — including contribution payments on the ESI portal, filing returns, maintaining registers where applicable, and guiding employers continuously.
As a general awareness note: under the ESI Act, factories, shops, commercial establishments, schools, clinics and hospitals employing 10 or more persons (20 in some jurisdictions) are typically required to register, subject to state notifications and wage thresholds.
Karma Global supports employers end-to-end — eligibility checks, portal registration, documentation, and ongoing compliance for ESI.
