Relating to which Act: The Contract Labour (Regulation & Abolition) Act 1970;
Applicable to which State: All the states where the act is applicable along with contract labour rules of the respective States. In this instance, it is the Office Order of Delhi Labour Commissioner
Penalty under the Act: 3 Months imprisonment or fine upto Rs. 500, or both for obstructing the inspector or failing to produce registers etc. b) For violation of the provisions of Act or the Rules, imprisonment of 3 Months or fine upto Rs. 1000.

All the Districts JLCs/DLCs are notified registering/licensing officers under CL(R&A) Act, 1970. Vide office order no. JLC (HÌ)/CLA/2014/01/5454 dated 07.03.2014, all the contractors deploying contract workers/employees were directed to upload the details of category of workmen employed, wages being paid and other statutory records maintained by them on their website. In case, contractor does not have his own website, the information shall be uploaded by the Principal Employer on his website till the contractors upload the required information on his website. It was further directed that hard copies of the above mentioned information shall also be submitted by the Principal Employer/Contractor to the concerned Registering / Licensing Officer
