NOTIFICATION Occupational Safety, Health, and Working Conditions Code, 2020. No. O.S.H.-2021/C.R. 29/LABOUR-9.—

The Following draft of rules which the Government of Maharashtra, propose to make it exercise of the powers conferred by section 133 and 135 of the Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code, 2020 (37 of 2020) read with section 24 of the General Clauses Act, 1897 (10 of 1897) and of all other powers enabling it in that behalf and in supersession of the Maharashtra Factories Rules, 1963, the Maharashtra Safety Officers ( Duties, Qualification and Conditions of Services) Rules, 1982, the Maharashtra Welfare Officers (Duties, Qualification and Conditions of Services) Rules, 1966, the Maharashtra Factories (Control of Industrial Major Accidents Hazards) Rules, 2003 and the Maharashtra Factories (Safety Audit) Rules, 2014 made under the Factories Act, 1948, (63 of 1948), is hereby published as required by sub-section (1) of section 133 and sub-section (1) of section 135 of the said Code, for the information of all persons likely to be affected thereby; and notice is hereby given that the said draft will be taken into consideration by Government of Maharashtra, after the expiry of forty-five days from the date of publication of this notice in the Maharashtra Government Gazette.

  1. Any Objection or suggestion, which may be received by Director, Industrial Safety and Health, Kamgar Bhavan, E-Block, C-20, Opp. Reserve Bank, Bandra-Kurla Complex, Bandra (East), Mumbai-400 051 or on email dirdish.mum-mh@gov.infrom any person with respect to the said draft before the expiry of the above-mentioned period, will be considered by the Government.
