EPFO Circular – Update the Correct Bank Details
Remember, the claim withdrawal will be credited to the bank account which is registered from the EPFO records. As a result, before filing your EPF withdrawal claim, you have to check your bank account information enrolled in the documents. Incorrect bank account details will postpone the credit of the funds withdrawn.
EPFO, on its official Twitter manage, has asked members to make certain that bank details in EPFO documents are correct and the account is connected to UAN.
Further, the IFSC mentioned in the EPFO records should be correct. When you have given the incorrect IFSC, it is going to delay the credit.
One can assess the bank details enrolled from the EPFO records by logging into their account about the Member e-Sewa portal in the’KYC’ section under the ‘Manage’ tab. In the event that the bank account or IFSC is wrong, then you will be required to update the details. Once the appropriate details are updated in EPFO documents, it has to be mandatorily confirmed by your company too.
When submitting your EPF withdrawal claim on the internet, you are expected to supply the scanned copy of all their bank account that are filed in the EPFO records. Make certain that the scanned copy of the cheque is clear and visible.
