In another tweet, “On this InternationalWomensDay, we urge Women members to file e-Nomination and empower family and assure them SocialSecurity.”

Who can be added as a nominee?

Only defined family members can be nominated in your EPF account, according to the EPF Act. The EPF Act defines “family” as: I in the case of a male member, his wife, his children (whether married or unmarried), his dependant parents, and his deceased son’s widow and children; and (ii) in the case of a female member, her husband, her children (whether married or unmarried), her dependant parents, and her deceased son’s widow and children.

EPF members can make changes to their nominations online. An EPF member does not need to request this from their employer; instead, they can update their EPF nominations online through the EPFO UAN portal.
