PF – Interim instruction for deduction of TDS while settling claims in view of TDS on interest
A procedure to follow uniformly is attached herewith to aid in the process of claim settlement/deducting TDS to keep the accounts and maintain data in this regard. The same is required to be followed till the IS Division develops software for field offices and releases the software.

With reference to this office letter of even no. dtd. 11.11.2021, it is once again intimated that in order to have synchronization between ESI & EPF a provision has been made in the Insurance Module by ESI Corporation wherein the employers can enter the UAN of the IPs through the module to link with the Insurance Number of ESI beneficiaries. You can find the link for seeding the UAN in the employer portal (www.esic.in). In view of the above, it is requested to use the Insurance/Panchdeep Module of ESI Corporation for entering the UAN data of your employees covered under the ESI Act by end of July 2022, positively so that the same can be validated from EPFO through the APIs (Application Programming Interface) about the authenticity & correctness when the API is built by EPFO & ESIC.
