Penalty under the Act: Any employer who contravenes any provision of this Act or of any rule or order made thereunder shall, if no other penalty is provided in this Act for such contravention, be punishable with imprisonment for a term which may extend to six months, or with fine which may extend to one thousand rupees, or with both

And in this instance: In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (a) of sub section (1) of section (3) read with clause (iii) of sub section (1) of section (4) and sub section (2) of Section (5) of the Minimum Wages Act 1948, the Administrator of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu have revised the minimum rates of wages payable to the different categories of employees in different scheduled employments with effect from 1/4/2023.
