The Central and State Governments run various government schemes to provide benefits to every section of the country. The Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India, runs the scheme for such people whose monthly income is low.

The name of this scheme is the Employees State Insurance Scheme (ESIC Scheme), under which millions of employees get pensions and free treatment. The government issues ESI cards to the beneficiaries of this scheme. Let us know which people get the benefit of this scheme and how to apply for it-

 

Who gets the benefit of an ESI card?

The benefit of the ESIC scheme is available only to those people whose monthly income is low. In such a situation, people working in private companies, employees of factories, and factories get the benefit of this scheme. Every employee gets the benefit of an ESI card from the government. It is the responsibility of the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation to select the employees under this scheme. In this, only those institutions will get the benefit of the scheme in which 10 or more employees work. In this, the registration company in the scheme has to be done only.

 

Only people with less salary than this get the benefit of the scheme

The benefit of the ESIC scheme can be availed only by those people whose monthly salary is less than Rs. 21,000. In this scheme, both the employee and the company have to contribute their share. For the first three years, the company’s share is given by the government if the daily salary of the employee is less than Rs.137. In this, 0.75 percent of the total salary received by the employee has to be given. At the same time, the company deposits a total of 3.25 percent in the scheme.

 

This benefit is available under the ESIC scheme

Through the ESIC scheme, the central government provides better medical facilities free of cost to people with low salaries. Under this scheme, the government also runs more than 150 hospitals and dispensaries in many union territories and states. In this, the employee and his family members get the facility of free treatment. Under this scheme, employees on sick leave are paid cash for 91 days.

During this, the amount is given at the rate of 70 percent of the salary. At the same time, women are also given Maternity Leave. In this, women will get the benefit of a full salary for 26 weeks after delivery. Along with this, on the employee’s death, his family will benefit from a pension of up to Rs 10,000.
