Penalty under the Act: Failing to comply with Food Safety regulations and directions of the Food Safety Officer: Any food business operator who fails to comply with the fssai registration login rules and regulations, or the principles issued by such officer without giving any reasonable reason for non-compliance, will be fined ₹2 lakhs.

It states that the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change has notified the Plastic Waste Management Amendment Rules 2021 which prohibits the manufacture, import, stocking, distribution, sale and use of the single plastic items which have low utility and high littering potential
