Government of Punjab revises the minimum wages for employees in the scheduled employment effective 1/09/2023

Relating to which Act: The Minimum Wages Act 1948         

Penalty under the Act: Any employer who contravenes any provision of this Act or of any rule or order made thereunder shall, if no other penalty is provided in this Act for such contravention, be punishable with imprisonment for a term which may extend to six months, or with fine which may extend to one thousand rupees, or with both

Applicable to which State: Punjab         

Type: Office of the Labour Commissioner, Punjab, Notification No. ST / 12027 issued by Labour Commissioner, Punjab

Pertains to: For the different categories of employees in Punjab   employed in the scheduled employment
