And in the current instance : In exercise of the powers conferred under sub section 2 of section 3 of the Telangana Factories and Establishments (National, Festival and other Holidays) Act 1974, and the Telangana Shops & Establishments Act, 1988 (Act No. 20 / 1988) read with the provisions laid down in Section 135 – B of the representation of Peoples Act, 1951 , Government of Telangana hereby declare paid holiday to all the employees / workers working in the factories / shops and establishments and Industrial Undertakings / Establishments on the day of polling i.e. 30/11/2023 Thursday so as to enable the electorate to exercise their vote for the General Elections to 119 Assembly constituency of 33 districts of the Telangana State Legislative Assembly 2023.
