And in this instance: In exercise of the powers conferred by section-3 of the Minimum Wages Act, 1948 (XI of 1948), the Governor of Jharkhand is pleased to declare that the consumer price index number applicable to the employees employed in schedule employments mentioned in column-2 of the attached Schedule-1, for the months shown in column-2 of the schedule mentioned below, shall be as shown in column-3 of the said schedule for the purpose of clause (d) of section-2 of the said Act.
The rates of variable dearness allowance will be based on the average of all India Consumer Price Index on which the minimum rates of wages have been fixed/revised in the schedule employments.
There will be increase or decrease in rates of wages shown in column-3 of schedule with rise or fall as the case may be in aforesaid Index of the schedule employments and it will be deemed as variable dearness allowance component. But even if index falls below the points on which minimum rates of wages had been fixed/revised, there will not be any reduction in the minimum wages fixed/revised.
The payment of variable dearness allowance on the basis of average Consumer Price Index of July-December, 2022, which is 2nd half of 2022, will be payable from 01.04 .2023
