Penalty under the Act: Whoever, to avoid any payment to be made by himself under this Act [the Scheme, the [Pension] Scheme] or the Insurance Scheme] or of enabling any other person to avoid such payment knowingly makes or causes to be made any false statement or false representation shall be punishable with imprisonment for a term which may extend to one year, or with a fine of five thousand rupees, or with both].

Under the Head Office Order cited in the reference above, the Enforcement Officer who has completed 3 years (Sensitive Posting as defined by HO circular on Sensitive / Non-Sensitive No. HRD/4(1)2010/Misc. Circular/Pt-1/625 dated 14.06.2022) are being converted to the post of Accounts Officer. To meet the shortfall in the cadre of EO for smooth service delivery and compliance-related work, certain officials are also converted to the post of Enforcement Officer temporarily in the same office (as per maximum assigned posting as allotted by Head Office) where they are presently posted.
