Government of Maharashtra issued a notification regarding database of the unorganized sector workers in the State with revised categories and job roles (39 categories and 340 job roles)

And in this instance: The Government of Maharashtra on July 6, 2023 issued a notification regarding database of unorganized sector workers in the State.

The following has been stated:

In view of Central Government’s guidelines for keeping complete detailed information about workers in a digital manner, the unorganized workers were classified into fields and occupations/jobs in lieu of the national database of unorganized in the e shram portal

In order to make the classification more comprehensive, the classification of unorganized workers into 39 sectors and 340 occupations as per attached Annexure I, is approved by this Government decision.
